Robin Kokoszka Zenobi

September 20, 1963 - March 21, 2024

Robin Kokoszka Zenobi, 60, of Hamden, CT died unexpectedly in her sleep on March 21, 2024.

Robin was born in Meriden, CT on September 20, 1963 to the late Frank and Mabel (Elfstrom) Kokoszka. She was a graduate of O.H. Platt High School in Meriden and attended Northeastern University in Boston and Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.

A computer science and mathematics major in college, Robin worked in pharmacy (retail or long-term care) all her adult life, and at the Yale-New Haven pharmacy in the Connecticut Mental Health Center Pharmacy since 2002.

Cindy Turner invited Robin to come to church with her when Robin was just beginning to get settled in a new apartment in Hamden.  Robin was drawn to the friendliness of the congregation and soon settled in as an active and well-loved member of the parish. She was a constant presence at Friday night Dinner for a Dollar and the Faith Study Group, served on the communications committee, and was clerk of the vestry.  Her computer expertise was central to the church's online presence for livestreamed worship and hybrid meetings.

Robin was a member of The International Order of Rainbow for Girls in her youth, and then went on to join the Order of the Amaranth and the Order of the Eastern Star, being an active member of these organizations for her entire adult life.  Robin is survived by her brother Peter Kokoszka, of Provincetown, MA and San Francisco, CA, many cousins from Connecticut and around the country, and her extended chosen family from Amaranth and Eastern Star, particularly her close friend Judy Behler, the Associate Grand Conductress of OES, for whom Robin served as escort.

She loved all kinds of animals, and enjoyed a variety of activities including remote controlled car racing in Enfield when she lived in northern Connecticut; duckpin bowling; and listening to music.  Cheerful, helpful, matter-of-fact and unflappable, she will be greatly missed.

Services from Eastern Star and Amaranth were held for Robin on March 26. Memorial service was at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 27 at Grace and St John's, with private burial. Donations in Robin's memory may be made to Grace and St John's Dinner for a Dollar program, the Amaranth Diabetes Foundation, or the Eastern Star Service Dog Project.
